What is a Laser Toner and how does it work? |
|
Toner is a dry powdery substance made up of tiny particles.
During the laser printing process, the laser beam from the copier hits the drum. Thus the toner is electrically charged so that it is attracted to the printer drum. The drum surface collects the toner and transfers it to the paper. The fuser is responsible for melting the laser toner to create a permanent image on the paper.
